Code of Conduct

OVER 18 PLAYERS

In accordance with our constitution, all players over the age of 18 are members of Georges River FC, and unless the Terms and Conditions are agreed to, no player will be registered.

As part of your membership you agree to be bound by the Club's Constitution, By-Laws and Code of Conduct.

You also agree to fulfil ground control duties on at least (but not limited to) two (2) occasions during the season.

The importance of good behaviour and sportsmanship is essential to the welfare of the game in general.

When you agree to play, coach, manage or officiate you become an ambassador for Georges River FC and are required to abide by the following GRFC Code of Conduct:

  • Always play within the laws of the game
  • Always uphold the spirit of fair play
  • No verbal/physical abuse or disrespect to officials, opposing players or spectators
  • Show respect to referrees at all times and accept decisions without dissent or abuse
  • No behaviour of a threatening or offensive nature, including spitting and gestures
  • No swearing or unseemly language
  • All team members are responsible for their supporters. Encourage good sportsmanship

Please be aware the disciplinary action will be taken by the GRFC Executive Committee for breaches of the Code of Conduct by club members or supporters over and above any sanctions taken by the Sutherland Shire Football Association. This disciplinary action may include warnings or ultimately suspension of club membership. In some circumstances entire teams may be withdrawn from competition.

For your registration to be valid you must agree to the above Terms and Conditions.
