Attached is the 2024 trial games draw for the weekend of 23 - 24 March.
Most teams have been allocated a trial match against an equivalent GRFC or Como Jannali FC side.
We have tried our best to get trial games for all teams, but unfortunately some Como Jannali FC or GRFC teams were not available. Teams with no trial match are welcome to come down to OB for a kick/training session over that weekend. On Saturday 23 March, field 1A and 1B over near cricket nets will be available after 13.00, OB2 available after 15.30 and OB1 after 16.30.
GRFC vs GRFC teams are highlighted in yellow, as are Como Jannali FC vs Como Jannali FC in blue.
Duty roster has also been issued to teams and available here.

Goalkeeper training for GRFC keepers will be on again this season commencing 28 March.
At this stage, sessions will run on Thursday nights at the following times:
There's no cost involved and it provides an opportunity for participants to practice and improve their particular skill set.
Sessions will be ongoing apart from school holidays, weather permitting and dependent on the number of participants.
These sessions are for seniors and girls & boys 9 years and older who regularly play in goal. it is not designed for those who only keep for half a game every so often.
Bob is also most willing, where possible and as time permits, to assist teams by attending their sessions and advising on goalkeeping. If any of the coaches, consider that this may be worthwhile they can arrange with Bob directly.
About the Trainer:
Bob has conducted keeper training for Georges River players for over 20 years.
He has been the SSFA Academy coach and prior to that (Development Squad) for some 15 years and also works with the SSFA GSAP and WPL junior keepers.

We're so excited that Tiger Cubs is about to get started!
We will be kicking off at 4:30 pm sharp on Friday afternoon, 02 February.
Please bring your Tiger Cub down at 4:00 pm so there's plenty of time for them to collect their uniform and have their name marked off before heading out to meet their coach.
Tiger Cub uniforms
For our new recruits, uniforms will be ready for collection from the canteen inside the clubhouse from 4 pm. If you can't make the session you can also pick up your child's uniform from the canteen before the next session.
What else to wear/bring
Tiger Cub groups
We will group the kids into colour-coded groups based on age and any friendship request. Your child will train with the same group, with the same coach, in the same area each week.
Some parents may like siblings to be grouped together, but we find it best for kids to be placed with kids of a similar age.
Please have your children head out to the sign with their colour on it by 4:25 pm each week so they can have their name marked off before each session.
Spectating
Please stay in the designated spectator areas which are behind the fence and beyond the field perimeter on the far side of the oval. We want to keep the pitch as a clear and safe environment for the kids.
We also ask that you do not walk across the fields, rather that you stay outside the perimeter as shown below. Please also keep other kids/siblings off the fields.
Some other important details to note:
Bar, BBQ and Canteen open
We'll have the Tiger Inn bar open and BBQ running so you can grab an easy dinner. With the canteen open for drinks and snacks.Wet weather
Should any sessions be washed out you will be notified and make-up class(es) will be added to the end of the season (after the school holidays). You can also check our club's Facebook page to check if grounds are open or closed.
What to expect?
During the first session Head Coach Steve will update all parents/guardians on the Tiger Cubs program and what to expect.
We love photos!
If you have any photos that you are happy for us to share on Facebook, Instagram etc, please send them to Melissa via publicity.officer@grfc.com.au.
We look forward to meeting you and your Tiger Cub very soon!

]]>GRFC is saddened to learn of the passing of Life Member, Shirley Robson.
Shirley joined the Tigers in 1982 when her two eldest sons, Michael and Glenn joined the U8s and U7s respectively. Shirley managed the U8Fs in 1983 (son Glenn’s team).
Youngest son David joined in 1984.
Football was a family affair in the Robson household, with husband Dennis, also playing and managing teams at the Club.
In 1985, Shirley joined the GRFC Committee holding the role of Registrar until 1990. In 1991, Shirley was appointed Club Secretary, a role she held until 1996. In 1996, Shirley was recognised for her contribution to football in the Shire with the Association Merit Award, and in 1998, was made a Life Member of the GRFC in appreciation of her long service to the Tigers.
Shirley was at the Bay for Golden Oldies Day this July with husband Dennis, but sadly lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday 6th September.
Shirley’s funeral will be held at the Woronora South Chapel on Monday 18th September at 11am. A celebration of Shirley’s life will follow at Club on East, 7 East Parade, Sutherland in the 1st Floor Dining Room.
]]>At last week's AGM, Dale Graham stepped down as President of GRFC. Dale has been our much-loved Club President for seven years. Over this time he has worked tirelessly to make our club something truly special... We hope you'll agree that GRFC is not your average football club!
Few would realise how much heart and soul, not to mention time, he has put into GRFC, all as a volunteer, and all while working a full-time job and raising a very young family.
During Dale's leadership period, our club has achieved record growth and he has introduced many community-building initiatives such as Tiger Cubs, Firecracker Night, Summer Soccer, in-house Presentation Nights, Charity Shields and so much more.
Dale has helped build a very strong committee and we are all very proud to have been working alongside him, especially someone so hands-on in everything that goes on at our club, both in front of and behind the scenes. No one will ever really know just how much he has given to our club (except maybe Erin), but for everything we are thankful.
Dale will still be a part of the committee moving forward and has been working alongside our new president Aaron Jenkins to ensure a smooth transition.
Dale also now takes his well-deserved seat at the Life Members table.
Congratulations Dale, and thank you.

We have very limited quantities available of our limited edition compression shorts, pants and tops with GRFC branding.
All proceeds go toward the fundraising efforts of our 2022 Bardon Touring Team:
Our limited edition skins collection is made with Australian-developed fabric of the highest technical standards. Unlike many brands that settle for a 50 denier weft fabric, which is cheaper to make, QRS uses a warp knitted fabric of 70 denier. Plus a higher elastomeric fibre content delivers stronger compression force per square centimetre, allowing a snugger fit with less panels, less stitching, less seams that can split. Result: increased performance while improving garment durability.
